PhonQuery is a linguistic database containing information on phonemes, features and prosodic properties of currently 22 languages. The idea behind this database is creating something like an extended version of Ian Maddieson's "Patterns of sounds" (1984). Technically, it is designed with XML, XSL and PHP5.
PhonQuery is part of the project "Licensing of phonological features" financed by the German Research Foundation.
